Howdy everybody! I just got done with my last exam. I'm done for the semester! Time to crack a beer and not work on RunMan. But here's some music anyway!
Summer should be a productive time. I'm hanging out in State College (where Penn State is located) doing research and enjoying lots of free time. Expect more info about the dancing game that desperately needs a name - I haven't worked on it in a couple weeks, but it shouldn't take too long to wrap up. Following that I'll be looking for a sponsor, though. Who knows how long that could take!?
I also plan to seriously work on RunMan because I'm tired of it hanging over my head. I mean, it's a pretty great game. I would really prefer to, you know, have people play it. Matt's on board to work too, last time I checked. (I sure hope so.) This is the first thing I want to work on when I get back in town next week.
I also have some other random stuff in the works. I did a group project for a class this semester where we built a game in Java. It's kind of like Space Invaders. I'll get around to posting it soon, since it's pretty hilarious, but now I've got the itch to do a proper shoot-em-up in Flash. So you'll probably hear about that. I'm also dabbling in making some music. No idea what I'd like to do with that, though.
Anyway, as I've said,
certain things call my name. Checking out until Monday!

This is a game I made senior year of high school for my graduation project. It attempts to illustrate in a visual and intuitive way the concept of VECTOR ADDITION, possibly the most exciting topic EVER.
I found it as I was reorganizing files from coolmoose.net, and post it here for your consideration because it's not half-bad. It's in Game Maker, so Windows only

...that you can force Flash into "low quality" mode, bringing out all those wonderful jagged edges. I feel much more at home now.
It's like Paint with timelines.

Above is a screenshot from a game I made at the beginning of summer, entitled
Orange Anger, or Bacon Lust. I never felt comfortable releasing it to the masses, though some of those who did to get to play it liked it very much. Maybe one day I'll just slip it out quietly...

This is a screenshot of a game I worked on for about two days over winter break. It's about Jimi Hendrix saving the world from invaders using the power of Rock 'n Roll. It was going to involve using simple melodies (read from text files) as a basis for gameplay.
It will likely never see the light of day, but I thought it was kind of funny.
