DEEPAK FIGHTS ROBOTS. PAID VERSION.
IT'S $4.95. IT'S GREAT. CHECK IT:
-
Downloadable! The game comes packaged as an Adobe AIR app that you can play offline, outside of a browser. It's got no DRM, because I'm against that type of thing, and because I'm too lazy to implement it anyway!
-
No Ads! Not a one here, folks! Nothin' but GAME.
-
Level Editor! Oh SNAP! Make and play crazy custom levels! Import your own background graphics and music! You can even pack up your work and send it to your friends!
-
Survival Mode! Procedurally generated high-score MADNESS! How many levels of potentially totally unfair randomness can you trounce without taking a hit!?
-
A Distinct Feeling of Goodness for Supporting Independent Art! Individual results may vary.
-
Full Screen! You can make the game cover the full screen area of your monitor! Dude, like, the whole screen!
-
Bragging Rights! A year or two from now you'll be able to be like, "Man, I was up on Tom Sennett way before he went so mainstream", and your friends will gasp at how awesome and trendsetting you are!
-
A Readme File! It's a .txt file! It's got some text in it! It's - ok, I'm grasping a bit here maybe.
I'm selling this on my own, with no publisher or distribution, because I believe in the technological democratization of capitalism and the power of the Internet to bridge the age-old gap between creators and audience and blah blah blah blah. Also because publishers have nothing to offer me but money, and who would be silly enough to want that?
If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can pretend this is a Kickstarter project. Just give me the money, download the game, then don't open it for two years.
And no, the game is not coming to Steam. Valve didn't want it, apparently because they have poor taste in video games. So buy this one directly from me, the guy who actually made it, and let's get on with this whole artistic revolution business.
For real.
